First Entry

First entry:

Today, I was planning on riding with the seven hills wheelmen on their Wednesday night ride from West Boyalston. Around 3:00, it began to rain, but I decided to go anyways. I printed out a cue sheet from their site for a ride that went around the reservoir, one of the shortest ones on there. I laminated it with cellophane tape at work, and off I went.

This was my first time on an actual street bike. Old, maybe, but it had narrow, slick tires (as opposed to my mountain bike, or even my road bike). I quickly learned that those painted lines on roads are, in fact, very slippery when wet.

About five miles into the ride, I found myself in a familiar area once again. Well, sort of. I had seen it once, and only once. Clinton! Where Sarah Bakun's graduation party was this past weekend. So weird. Coinky-dink!

If that dike goes by the Boyalston/Clinton line.... well, Clinton will be gone. Wow. It is impressive.

Summary:

Millage: 18.1
Time: 1.5 hours
#Riders: Just Myself
Bike: Green Street Bike
Route: Around the Wachusett Reservoir
